Ultimate Music Mix Project

Everyone asks me what my favorite song or my favorite music is and I never have a good answer. I never know exactly what to say. I'm listening to music all of the time: at work, at the gym, at home, etc. so I'm constantly listening to new stuff alongside old favorites. My favorites are always shifting. For a period of time I will be listening to one song or one piece of music over and over again and then I'll shift into a different song or a different genre. It's normal for me to listen to one thing over and over and over and over again.

Anyway, I thought that it would be fun to make definitive list of music that I "like" at this current moment in time. I want to make two lists: one of my old favorites and one of my favorite new music. I already know of a couple of things to put in my list of new favorites, but I need your help in finding some new favorites to add! I want suggestions on some music to hear. Anything! Pop, classical, modern, dance, rap, opera, country western...anything.

I will listen to all requests at least once and give them a try. From there, I'll start to narrow down my choices into different musical genres and eventually choose 10 new favorites.

When all is said and done, and someone asks me what my favorite music or song is, I can give them a good answer!

Please give me your suggestions...

As always, I offer to you some music. Here's just couple of my all-time favorites that I have always listened to and always will. Sorry, no classical this time around, I'll save that for another post.

{cheers}

The Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin"

"Beggin'" makes me want to dance every time that I hear it! Play this at a dance party some time and let loose. Awesome.

  7. I can only say what I've recently been listening to. I, like you, enjoy just about all of the music. So, right now I'm on: Dengue Fever, Parliament, Secret Chiefs 3, Taraf de Haidouks, Ligeti violin concerto, Bartok and Tom Paxton. I'm always into Beatles, Bowie and Beethoven, though.
